Dean Wright has returned to Streets as the first Director appointment for its Colchester and West Mersea based practice, Streets Whittles Chartered Accountants. His appointment follows the recent merger of Whittles Chartered Accountants with Streets Chartered Accountants.

Dean, a Chartered Certified Accountant, has been very much welcomed back to Streets as he previously worked as a Manager with the firm’s Stevenage office. Prior to his return, Dean had a role with another Essex based firm working from its Maldon office where he had responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients along with being involved with the firm’s wider practice development including marketing, systems introduction and software integration.

On welcoming Dean back to Streets, Managing Partner Paul Tutin, said: “We are especially pleased and delighted to have Dean returning to our firm as over recent years he has not only honed his technical expertise but also has developed a strong commercial mindset. All of this stands him in good stead in terms of supporting and looking after clients as they deal with the challenges faced in managing and growing businesses today. He also has a strong background in and appreciation of the use of technology to service the needs of clients who increasingly embrace and adopt digital working practices.”

“Working primarily from our office in Colchester, Dean will be looking to support the firm’s growth across Essex but with specific responsibility for servicing and generating new clients around Chelmsford, Witham and the south of the county.”

“With a strong background of working with both start-ups and scale ups, along with owner managed businesses, Dean will be looking to develop the firm’s client base engaged in technology, media and the creative industries as well as engineering and manufacturing, property and construction.”

“He will also work closely with the local Partners Rachel Skells, Michael Greene and Dan Insley in terms of supporting the wider growth of the practice.”

When asked what it meant to be returning to Streets, Dean commented: “I am proud to be returning to Streets and to have been appointed as a director. The recent merger has provided me with the exciting local opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking practice that recognises the need to respond to the ever-changing world. The move also means that I will now be able to draw on the wider expertise of the Streets practice, which includes specialist corporate tax advice, corporate finance, accounting software and personal financial planning to support the needs of clients both now and in the future.”

“In my new role I am really looking forward to being able to build my own portfolio of entrepreneurial and SME clients and in particular creating closer ties with new and growing businesses that are located in the various business innovation and incubation centres across the area.”
