The UK and more importantly manufacturing in Hull and the Humber region is enjoying something of a renaissance, which has been reflected in the growing number of entries for the awards as well as their diversity.
At the very heart is a sense of pride in manufacturing, along with high levels of innovation and flair. This year saw the launch of a new category - Made in Hull Digitally. We have been especially pleased about the level of entries for this award which serves to recognise the importance of the emerging and enabling digital economy within the city.
“Streets Chartered Accountants is extremely proud to be hosting the Made in Hull Awards and to be supporting the manufacturing sector across the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership area. We are extremely grateful for the support we have received for the awards locally from the Bizweek organisers, judges and organisations including the Department of International Trade.”
Commenting on the importance of the event to Humber Business Week 2017, Kath Lavery, Chair of the Business Week Steering Group, said: “Business Week 2017 is proud that Streets Chartered Accountants have once more sponsored their increasingly important Made in Hull Awards. The standard of this year's entries shows just how much these awards are now a part of our annual festival of business. Showcasing the very best that our business community produces. We look forward to congratulating not only the winners but every business that entered, proving that manufacturing is thriving in our economy.”
