Ben Halstead, Partner in charge of the firm’s Bedford (Wyboston Lakes) office has become a member of the firm’s central partnership.

As a central partner Ben, along with his other 6 fellow central partners, is responsible for the management and direction of the practice as a whole including the interests of the Chartered Accountancy practice and its other entities which include its dedicated tax practice, financial services arm, corporate finance team and specialist payroll bureau.

Commenting on Ben’s appointment, Streets’ Chairman and Managing Partner Paul Tutin, said: “We are particularly pleased that Ben has joined our firm’s central partnership. He has proved to be a valuable member of the team both in terms of looking after and building a client portfolio and also in terms of developing the firm’s office and presence in Bedford.

“Ben has also demonstrated a commitment to the firm and its overall management through his leadership of staff and by undertaking a number of financial reporting and management duties involved in running a significant practice like Streets. Along with my other fellow central partners we look forward to his continued and wider involvement and engagement in the future success of the practice.”

When asked what the appointment meant to Ben, he said: “I am especially pleased to have been asked to join the firm’s central partnership. I feel it is true recognition of the contribution and commitment I have made to the firm since joining it 17 years ago. In this time my role has changed significantly with my responsibilities now including the management and development of key strategic offices and presence for the firm in the East of England.

“In addition to looking after my own client portfolio I have also taken increased responsibility for the financial reporting for the firm and its associated businesses. As a central partner I now look forward to playing more of an instrumental role in the future of the practice and ensuring its continued success.”
