Streets Chartered Accountants is delighted to be sponsoring the Lincolnshire Exporter of the Year Award at the Lincolnshire Business Awards 2016.
This accolade will be awarded to the organisation that has generated substantial and sustained increases in export activity, whether they are a first time or seasoned exporter.
The judges will be looking at what barriers the entrants have overcome to generate business, what product or competitive advantage they can demonstrate and what future plans they may have to develop international trade or business.
Commenting on their sponsorship of the awards, Streets’ Marketing Partner, James Pinchbeck, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Awards for our third year and not least the Exporter category. The value of international trade is often overlooked by businesses across the county. Following the EU referendum and Brexit, there seems to renewed interest in overseas trade and the potential for local businesses exporting not just into Europe with across the globe.
“This award not only celebrates our county’s exports, but also helps to promote what can be achieved by those looking to export or to develop their overseas markets. We are particularly keen to encourage and receive entries from first time exporters, those making overseas sales via the internet, as well as, the more established or seasoned exporter who may have an export department or international marketing strategy.”
When Ian Lister, Chief Executive of Greenray Turbines, was asked what entering and winning the Exporter of the Year category last year meant to him, he said: “Greenray felt the need to raise its profile both locally and internationally and for this reason we were keen to enter and even more delighted to have won the Exporter of the Year category at the Lincolnshire Business Awards in 2015.
