The Greater Lincolnshire Manufacturing Conference was the ideal setting for the launch of Made in Lincolnshire 2016, with delegates from many of the area’s leading and innovative manufacturing businesses being potential entrants.

Organised in conjunction with NatWest and Business Lincolnshire, Made in Lincolnshire seeks to celebrate the areas manufacturing sector and showcase the diversity and creativity of those manufacturing in Greater Lincolnshire, whether it is by a small artisan producer selling locally or a large business selling overseas.

James Pinchbeck, Marketing Partner at Streets Chartered Accountants, commented: “As a well established accountancy practice looking after businesses, and more specifically manufacturers, in the county, we recognise the importance of the sector not only to our local economy but the national one too.

“Whether it is modesty or simply lack of awareness, the profile of who and what is produced in Lincolnshire doesn’t seem to receive the recognition it deserves. We are delighted to be working with NatWest and Business Lincolnshire on Made in Lincolnshire.  We are really looking forward to showcasing and celebrating the county’s manufacturing capabilities. We also hope the awards help to promote trade and careers in the sector.”

Garry Wilkinson, Senior Relationship Manager at NatWest, said: “Having recently co-hosted the Lincolnshire Manufacturing Conference in March with Lincolnshire County Council, we got a real insight into the contribution that the area’s manufacturing sector makes to the UK economy.  NatWest is now delighted to be involved with the forthcoming Made in Lincolnshire Awards that will celebrate the very best in expertise and innovation locally.”

Samantha Harrison, Commissioning Manager for Enterprise at Lincolnshire County Council, added: We know Lincolnshire makes some world-class products, and that's a message we want to spread far and wide. These awards are a chance to shout about some of the great work taking place right on our doorstep, showcasing the best of the best. Hopefully, this will help raise awareness of all the county has to offer, bringing new opportunities for all involved.

The organisers encourage all those that make something in Lincolnshire to consider entering and also consumers or users of Lincolnshire-made products and services to nominate entrants.

The categories for entrants are:

  • Made in Lincolnshire sold locally
